The area boasts some of the finest courses in Spain and the wonderful climate attracts players from all over the world.

We at Andalucia & Beyond offer both Beginners and Intermediate Golf Weeks - and for the beginners who have never played on a ‘real golf course’ the final day includes half a round on a course with the Pro.

These golfing holidays are offered with or without accommodation.

We welcome small groups of up to 6 persons so if you and your friends have always wanted to try your hand but have never had the courage or the opportunity, then why not join us? Enjoy a break in one of the most beautiful areas of Spain and take up a new hobby.

For those intermediate players amongst you then this is the ideal opportunity to get some extra tuition in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and hopefully iron out some of those ‘bad habits’ you might have picked up!!

If accommodation is required this can be arranged and there are several options.

Bed, breakfast and buffet dinner accommodation in Mijas Village at the very comfortable 4* Hotel Mijas. The hotel is built in Andalucian style, is low rise and very traditional.
There are twins and triple rooms available, some have sea view for a supplement and all are en suite, with satellite tv, telephone and air conditioning. Your reservation would be on a half board basis and buffet breakfasts and dinners are taken in the delightful dining room. The hotel has several lounges, a fine outdoor swimming pool and glorious panoramic views from the cocktail bar terrace.
Located in the centre of the picturesque white village of Mijas, 7kms inland from the Costa del Sol, it is well located for visiting the sights, beaches and best parts of Andalucia.

Bed and breakfast at the Hostal Caleta also in the village. This pretty hostal offers comfortable accommodation with stunning views over the countryside down to the coast. It is located a 10 minute walk below Mijas along a donkey track with an uphill walk into the village itself. There is vehicular access however.

Your choice of accommodation can be discussed at the time of booking the course. Our villas are all good quality and comfortably furnished. Several are in the outlying country area of Entrerrios which is very close to La Cala Golf. One is very close to Mijas Golf and the others are more in the Mijas Village area which is very central. MIJAS

Mijas nestles some 400 meters above sea level in the Sierra de Mijas and there are panoramic views down to the coast and Fuengirola. The village has a very traditional atmosphere and you will feel something of its Moorish past as you explore its narrow cobbled streets and pretty plazas. The whitewashed village houses are a dazzling contrast to the deep blue skies normally enjoyed over Mijas and visitors flock there from all over the world. The village has many excellent restaurants and traditional bars to try and during the year celebrates its annual feria in September as well as carnival in February, International day in May and other special days organized by the village’s efficient town hall.

The MIJAS and MIJAS COSTA areas are home to some of the best courses on the Costa del Sol. In the hills of La Cala some 10 minutes drive inland from La Cala village, La Calanova Golf is the latest addition to the handful of courses that make up the area’s new Golf Valley.

Now there are half a dozen courses and two luxury hotels on this golf haven of La Cala Golf. El Chaparral on Mijas Costa is one of the newest and has glorious views of both mountains and Mediterranean.

The Miraflores course was opened in 1990 but has undergone considerable improvement. The course follows the gentle outline of the Mijas foothills and offers splendid Mediterranean views. This is where our beginners and intermediate weeks are held Lauro Golf, inaugurated in 1992 has been built in an area of particular beauty amongst the Mijas mountain range.

Alhaurin Golf was designed by Sevi Ballesteros and is just a short drive from the coast and Mijas Village, located in a tranquil and beautiful area it has a comfortable clubhouse and equestrian centre.

Mijas Golf is a popular complex with 2 courses, Los Lagos and Los Olivos both located within easy distance of the village and the coast.
